After School Tutoring
nhs tutoring
NHS students will be available several days a week before/after school for free tutoring in the Media Center.
Attendance
Our students’ attendance matters to us. We want and expect them to be here as much as possible. We value their presence, and their academic success is dependent on it. Organized or coordinated absences from school are not endorsed by Rochester Community Schools, for example “Senior Skip Days”. Students who decide to take part in these events will be responsible for all missed work and assessments that occur on that day. Teachers will be continuing instruction as normal.
Student Pick up after school / Parking
As a reminder at the end of the school day, students must be picked up in the parent loop on the south end of the school off Tieken Road. If the student can not be picked up in the loop, please park in the Junior or senior lots by the auditorium or the pool. Please do not pick students up on the north end of school. The loop is reserved for buses and authorized vehicles with permits only.
counseling
JUNIOR PARENT NIGHT
Before the holiday break we sent a post-secondary planning presentation to junior parents. There are buttons throughout the smore with recorded presentations concerning many important parts of junior and senior year topics. Junior students had the opportunity to meet with counselors to review and discuss this information as well as time to explore and research potential plans. If your student has questions or needs any support in the process, please encourage them to make an appointment with their counselor.
JUNIORS
For information on junior year and to find a student & parent checklist, visit the counseling smore.
SENIORS - COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS
For information and guidance on the college application process check out our smore.

Rochester Community Schools believes that an important foundation for successful teaching and learning includes the need to feel safe, valued, and respected. To that end, Stoney Creek High School will be participating in No Place for Hate®, a national program that supports schools in their commitment to honor diversity, promote respect for differences, challenge bias, and prevent bullying at all levels.
No Place for Hate was developed by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), a leading anti-hate organization that has worked for more than a century to “secure justice and fair treatment to all.” No Place for Hate will help RCS incorporate valuable resources into existing programs to have one consistent message of inclusivity.

RAHCC looking for volunteers
The Rochester Auburn Hills Community Coalition (RAHCC) Youth Action Council is looking for middle and high school students to volunteer for community events all year long.
