We will be having our annual school spirit competition for the coveted Cougar Cup. Students can earn Cougar Credits for their grade by participating in dress-up days.
Here are the spirit days for the week of Homecoming:
Monday, Sept. 19th: Neon Day
Tuesday, Sept. 20th: Celebrity Day
Wednesday, Sept. 21st: Wild West Wednesday
Thursday, Sept. 22nd: Jersey Day
Friday, Sept. 23rd: Class color competition (wear Homecoming shirts or class color)
Another way grades can earn Cougar Credits toward winning the Cougar Cup is to win our locker bank decorating contest. Students are invited to come and help decorate their banks on Friday, September 16th right after school. Students should meet in C262 to get materials and instructions from their Student Council representatives.
In addition to Spirit Days every day throughout the week of Homecoming, on Friday of Homecoming week we have our annual class color competition. Student Council is selling Homecoming t-shirts for each grade to purchase in their respective colors. These shirts are then worn by students on Friday, the day of our Homecoming Assembly. Purchasing a t-shirt is not a requirement for students, and there are many other ways students are able to still participate in Spirit Week. We will have shirts available for purchase during all three lunches the week of Homecoming for $15. Students who pre-ordered shirts will be able to pick them up in C262 once the shirts arrive, which will be announced on the morning announcements.
More information about Homecoming will be shared in our daily announcements and through our Student Council media pages. Please follow us for more updates and announcements (Instagram: schscouncil; Twitter: @stoneycouncil; Facebook: Stoney Creek StuCo ).
For any specific questions please e-mail Student Council adviser Katie Antrup

Class of 2023 information
senior photos
All seniors for the class of 2023 must get their YEARBOOK PHOTO taken by Prestige Portraits. This procedure is not only equitable for ALL students, it streamlines the process for parents, students, and the yearbook advisor. This service is free of charge to every single student. In addition, ALL students in the class of 2023 will be included on the class composite as a result of using Prestige.
Students must have their yearbook photo taken by November 5, 2022 in studio (see address below). Once the photos are processed, students/parents will have the ability to choose their preferred photo by November 24, 2022 and then Prestige will send the digital file to Stoney Creek High School for inclusion in the yearbook and on class composite. There is nothing else that the student (or parent) needs to do to appear in the yearbook or on the class composite.
Please remember that this is a formal section of the yearbook. Students should be in a shirt and tie, dress, sweater, or blouse. All clothing needs to meet these specifications and the RCS dress code policy. If you need help obtaining proper attire, or you need more information regarding attire, please contact Mrs. Millard.
Students and parents will still have the opportunity to go to their preferred choice of photographer, if it is not Prestige Portraits, for their other senior photos. While only the yearbook pose sitting fee is FREE OF CHARGE, Prestige will also be offering significant discounts for other senior picture packages as well.
Please go online at http://www.prestigeportraits.com/studio to make your child’s senior portrait appointment as soon as possible (if a “yearbook only - free” choice is not available during online scheduling, choose the “basic session”– the fee will be waived once you are at the studio). You may also call to make the appointment (see phone number below).
The deadline to be photographed in order to appear in the yearbook is November 5, 2022. Students who do not get their yearbook photo taken with Prestige by the deadline will not appear in the senior section of the yearbook.
